1946 Mercury Eight Frame Off Restomod - All Ford NSRA Street Rod

Vehicle Description
If you're like me, you started young admiring the beautiful street rods in the car magazines. Always thinking, man, I wish I had one. Back in 2016, the stars aligned and my vision began. I purchased a 1946 Mercury with original interior that had a 292 engine and a poor 12-volt conversion. My journey began. Fortunately, my wife has an automotive mindset and she told me, "Don't bring it home from the shop and say that you wish you would have done this or that. Do it all, and when it's done, it's done." She didn't quite feel the same when I took the 351 Cleveland and C6 transmission out of her 1973 Ford Ranchero GT, but it worked out okay. The car was finished in time in 2017 for the NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY, where it was part of the Builder's Showcase. We have driven it every year to shows, cruise-ins and the local Sonic. If you're not afraid of drawing attention wherever you go, then this is your car. If the color and stance doesn't grab enough attention, just start the engine. It has the old school rumble with Flowmaster pipes that you'd expect to hear from an old-school street rod.
