This 1962 Mercury Comet is an original. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven.

Vehicle Details

1962 Mercury Comet Custom. Does not run or drive. The engine is a 200 straight 6cyl from a Mustang that was running when pulled from vehicle, it would probably need rebuilt or replaced. Was going to engine swap it anyway. The transmission is a ford o matic which is like a 2 speed powerglide. Condition of transmission is unknown. The body of the car is rather solid but does need Floorplans. The rockers and torque boxes are solid. There is little bit of rust showing on bottom of passenger door. Most of the interior is in the car minus the carpets but all needs to be replaced. My plans were to restore the car but life has gotten in the way. Missing one piece of trim on lower passenger door, see pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions. The engine is really just set in the car and not fully hooked up.
