Vehicle Description

Amazing find, this is a genuine one-owner factory manual transmission equipped Marauder 4-door hardtop fastback. It is an incredibly solid car with no rust and in amazing condition for a 61 year old car. This is a real factory equipped manual transmission car!The original factory data tag decodes as follows:57D: Four door fastbackD Dynasty Green76: Black trim04C: Built the 4th week of March, 196415: Build plant: Neward, NJ1 (axle): 3.0:11(Transmission): Factory three speed manual transmissionThis car spent most of its life out west before coming to New Jersey and then eventually to Connecticut...all by the same caretaker! By the time it had arrive in CT. it was rarely driven and was last registered in 2000. It has in inspection sticker from the mid 1980's from New Jersey as well. The car was parked running in the garage in 2000 and not touched since. The garage was dry and did not have any rodents or other critters get into it.He was very fastidious about maintaining the car and enjoyed traveling in it. We have pictures of the car from his travels. He took the car to south America where he photographed himself at the Tropic of Cancer line, a picture of the car when he was headed out to go shopping for building supplies and of course, pictures of the car when I first saw it in the garage where it had not moved from for a quarter of a century! He traveled the country as well in this car. Some of these images date back to the 1970's.The car is solid, rust free, never been in an accident and has not run since parked. The engine does turn freely and the car will require the usual attention that a car parked for many years needs. The car hsa many oil change stickers as well as a sticker for probably every tire change as well. The interior is nice but smells musty like a car in a dry garage for many years does. The headliner will need to be sewed together. It has separated at the seam. The instruments, steering wheel, radio and controls are all in nice condition. The heater switches all move correctly and smoothly. There is one set of keys which are the original Mercury keys from 1964 and in great condition.Researching online, it appears Mercury built about 8800 of these and less than 10% were manual transmission equipped cars. Sadly, there is no MARTI report available for this year and model Mercury. It is an incredible preservation example.I am running a no reserve auction but will consider buy it now offers throughout the auction. I have a transferable CT registration and bill of sale for the new owner. CT does not issue titles for cars over 25 years old. I can be reached at 860-883-3998. The car is located in Orange, CT. I am available to answer any questions. It is really a cool and special car. Good luck bidding and feel free to reach out with questions. Thanks. John
