Extremely Rare 1940 Mercury Eight 2-door Coupe with Split Rear Window/***********Highly sought after vehicle that is restorable as an Original Mercury, or as a Resto-Mod or a Hot Rod************/Flat head block is in the car - the heads and intake and carb have been removed - we have them with the sale.Original Transmission is still in the car, 3-on-the-tree.Interior is in very poor shape - please see the pictures. Front Seats have little cushion left with springs showing.There are moveable seat backs for rear entry - (no rear seat).Very cool "swivel" spotlights on both sides- appear to be original to the car. They still move up and down when twisting the handles.Original gauges and steering wheel are still in-tact, not broken. Steering Wheel with "Mercury Eight" and the 'Mercury Winged Head' in good shape.Clutch pedals are still there - however floorboards are rusted.
