1972 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL Convertible Grey

Vehicle Description
The 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL is the first-year model of the R107 generation SL, featuring a 4.5-liter V8 engine in the U.S. version, despite the 350 designation. This luxury convertible introduced features like a fuel-injected V8, power-assisted disc brakes, and a removable hardtop. The 1972 model year also saw the debut of unique features such as ribbed taillights and a high-strength steel body, establishing the 350SL as the first V8-powered SL model. This car was bought new in Vancouver BC in Dec 1971. The owner moved to Hawai’i and I bought it from him in 1985 and have owned it since. In August of 2020 I shipped the car to my son in Pleasant Hill, CA where it is today. It’s been sitting waiting for a restoration. It runs but needs TLC. There is undercarriage rust, rocker panels, etc. The car is original with hard and soft tops. The engine was rebuilt in 2019 but has not been driven much at all.
