Vehicle Description

1955 Mercedes Benz 220 sedan Ponton with Canvas Sun Roof.

Black/Red leather. The paint is in poor condition. Red Leather seats. Driver seat has a split in the bottom. Other seats will survive with lots of “hide food”. The wood trim is all in place and in fair condition. It is not delaminating but could use a new coat of varnish. The clock is in place in the dash. Becker Mexico radio. The headliner will needs replaced.

Engine is a Gas, Six cylinder engine, 4 speed manual trans. The engine runs with a gas can. The fuel system and gas tank will need to cleaned and flushed.

Odometer shows 30,343 miles, Title is marked “Miles Exempt”. I believe the Odometer is correct.

The drive shaft needs a new center carrier bearing. It is removed from the car. The gas tank was removed to slide the driveshaft out.

The body is solid except for a soft spot under the driver’s feet. The trunk floor is good and the spare tire wells are solid.

This car is worth the effort and will make a nice driver.
