1982 Mercedes 240 D

Vehicle Description
Selling this ultra-reliable daily driver as I recently bought a vintage 300CD and can't maintain two cars. I bought this in January 2019 at ~142k miles from the son of the original owner who had recently passed. It was kept in a garage until I bought it (and has been in a covered parking spot since) so the interior is in incredible condition for its age. I have kept every service receipt since purchased. As a testament to its reliability- I drove this car to Miami to see my folks over the holidays a couple years ago, got an oil change, and drove it back with not a single issue.
Lets get the con's out of the way:-In 2021 I was sideswiped by a reckless uninsured driver and there was damage just to the passenger side. When I brought the car in to be repaired/repainted, I decided to change the color from white to black. It came out excellent in my opinion. Everyone said I would regret doing that when I sold the car and I would respond that I'm never selling it, but here we are. Since then, there are a couple of spots on bottom trim of the car that need to be touched up (you can see in the main photo of the car), and there is also some scrapes on the bottom of the rear passenger side door from me (can be seen in photos- very light) from me parking in a tight space.-If you're familiar with these types of cars, you know they tend to leak a bit of oil and typically the AC doesn't last. While this is true here, thankfully the AC blows from all vents cool but not cold. A new compressor can be put in for ~$900 and it will blow ice cold (I wish I had my mechanic look into this when I bought the car and not when I'm selling it... as it would've been nice to have AC all these years, but alas).
Pros:-Clean title-Interior is CRISPY- dash has two very small cracks, and the wood trim is in great shape, and all the switches work (except for antenna- however the media player has an AM/FM antenna internally). Glovebox works and locks. Personally I'd rate the interior as a solid A and the exterior as a B+-Kenwood bluetooth media player with all speakers replaced in 2023. Sounds so good.-Radiator replaced in late 2020- quite expensive, and thankfully has been the only major issue in the eight years I've owned it.
What else do you need to know? I've never sold a car before if you can't tell. Ask away. Also available for FaceTime or a quick call if thats easier.
