1983 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Convertible Brown SL

Vehicle Description

This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.

Vehicle Details

The automobile is in great condition with only 93,000 miles. It’s not perfect, these are the known issues. 1. The transmission slips. It’s not pronounced and it diminishes once the car gets up to operating temperature. 2. The power steering pump will need replacing as it has a slow leak. 3. There is some paint bubbling by the gas filler door (see picture). 4. The AC will need charging. It’s been retrofitted to 134a.

The double row timing chain conversion has been done.

Although I have maintained the car religiously, I suffered a house flood and the records were destroyed.
