1990 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series

Vehicle Description
I am the 2nd owner of this concourse condition amazing 560 SEL. It was originally parallel imported and bought by a Japanese corporation from Germany into Japan. In the late 80s and early 90s it was a status symbol to have a chauffeur driven car with the steering wheel on the wrong side (wrong side for Japan). The car has been meticulously maintained and all Japanese Mercedes dealer service records are available.
The car has been in my possession for close to 10 years and has been a weekend driver at best always garaged into an air conditioned garage in the Coachella Valley. It has been maintained and cared for (after a painful California import / emissions standards procedure) by the same mechanic in the valley who has enormous passion for these kind of vehicles.
The car looks and drives like new. Everything works, AC ice-cold, recent smog in place.
Mileage above is 46,000 kilometres (not miles!)VIN:WDB1260391A512654
Why am I selling it? I have recently added another vehicle to the collection and simply need the space. I would rather not sell it as per instructions from my wife. So do me a favour and don't bid on the car so that I can tell her that "I tried but it didn't sell". The car is insured by Hagerty for north of $50k.
