I have had this car for over 30 years. About eight years ago, I started building a little monster. I believe some of you will understand that the "original" 160HP didn't do justice to the chassis. I've gotten older, and the car is just sitting. It's time it goes to someone who can appreciate driving it.Modifications include: LS1 V8 rebuilt, including blueprinting and balancing. This original LS1 motor has 340HP, so I kept it original for reliability. A matching TREMEC 6-speed manual was installed (I will look for the receipt- I recall around $5k). Dual electric fuel pumps and a 25-gallon fuel cell were installed in the back. The suspension is all adjustable coil springs. At the front, the shock towers can be adjusted for different handling. The 5-link original rear suspension is great. The original calipers were kept, since they were from the 500, and installed racing brake pumps. Tires are Hankook Ventus R-S3 80% plus thread. Brake pads OEM MBenz installed about 500 miles ago.The interior has a full cage, and all the interior was removed. I installed two racing seats and a safety harness from another car. A new central panel was created to feature individual switches for the electric fan, fuel pumps, lights, turn signals, and to control the window roll-up and roll-down functions.The body is in very good condition for a car that is almost 40 years old. No rust anywhere, the car has always been garaged. This is not a project car, I have been driving this car to cars and coffee events. It comes with a "Historical Vehicle" lic plate from CA. The car is sold as a "Performance Car" with a clean CA title.You could not build this car today for the reserve price. The car has approximately 140K miles, but the motor has less than 2,000 miles since I used it 3-4 times a year since 2017 for Cars and Coffee meets.
