Welcome to the narrative of this 1990 100% CA youngtimer Mercedes 560 SEL in metallic silver on light gray leather.The car is part of my personal MB collection which I am putting up for sale here at this time.We have recently become empty-nesters and it’s time to downsize and travel.The other two cars offered are a silver 1995 320e convertible and a rare white 1987 300TD wagon.

The 560 has had 3 owners; the original lease driver out of Los Angeles, it then moved to Murietta CA where it was driven very sparingly and kept in the garage of a retired US Navy service member until 2007 when I bought it.I drove the car about 60,000 miles and also garaged it at my house.

The car has received meticulous maintenance over the 17 years of my ownership, nearly all performed at the same shop.Please scroll all the way down for a list.Detailed maintenance records reflecting these repairs can be provided to the next owner.Highlights of the work done include a new transmission and an engine overhaul.The AC has been upgraded to R134a and many wear and tear items have been replaced.The headlights have been swapped with Euro-style ones and the headlight wipers removed.The tail lights are aftermarket.The originals are included in the sale should you want to remount those.The car has not been in an accident during my ownership.A Carfax I pulled before I bought it does not show accidents either.The car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition and there is no rust.

While the car presents with more miles than you might expect, items that receive wear in these circumstances have been diligently replaced.The car is moved regularly so that important fluids circulate and lubricate the various hoses and parts.The tires are new 215/60 R15 GT Radial Touring VP Plus.

While the exterior is in excellent cosmetic condition, the interior is nearly flawless and a testament to the fact that the car was always garaged.

The car also comes with a custom breathable canvas cover and lock.I have used it in the past when it’s parked outside during weekend trips or at the airport.It keeps the car clean and inconspicuous.

A few blemishes exist (this is an update after the radio, antenna, and broken bulb have been repaired):

· The antenna mastneeds a new rubber grommet

·There is a minor valve cover leak, about a few drops every week.It has been steady over the last few years.This is most cost-effectively addressed if there is ever the need to perform work in that area.Until then, monitoring is advisable.

·The paint is the original color and acrylic clear coat.Some areas have microscopic scratching common with the early acrylic finishes and visible from certain angles, but otherwise the paint is waxed, smooth and shiny.There is a credit-card sized area on the rear left quarter panel where clear coat flaked off.The color coat is unharmed.

·The rear left bumper cover has a small dent in the chrome bracket

·The front right fender has a few lentil-sized clear coat blemishes

·The hood needs a liner.
