1968 Mercedes 230 Sedan. Runs and Drives.

Vehicle Description
1968 Mercedes-Benz 230 Sedan. Often described as a "Fintail." I have a clean Utah title in my name. Please look closely at the 24 photos. I have over 1200 Positive feedbacks on EBay, and I highly value my EBay score. With this in mind, I want the new owner to know exactly what they are buying. I will describe both the positive and negativeaspects of the Mercedes. First, thepositive aspects: My Mercedes 230 is 57 years old and is in very good, clean, condition. It has the original Mercedes in-line six gas engine with two Weber carburetors. It has the original 4 speed manual transmission with the floor shift. The interior is in very good condition, and the body is straight with no dents. The windows are good with not cracks. The hood and doors are aligned properly and close with the that solid Mercedes sound. The front brakes are disc and the rear brakes are drum and they work properly. Again, please look at the photos. I have the clean title in my name. Second, the negative aspects: As I mentioned, the Mercedes sat for over 20 years in a climate controlledstorage building. Before Ipurchased the Mercedes it was started without consideration of the old gas. This first starting attempt pumped the bad gas into the mechanical fuel pump and ruined it. I had the gas tank drained and an electric fuel pump with fuelfilters has been installed. In addition, the long storage time created avacuum leak which required a new brake master cylinder and a new clutch master cylinder. Fortunately, parts for the 1968 Mercedes areavailable. The repairs have been completed and the receipts come with the Mercedes. Overall, thebody is in very good condition. There is minorsurface rust on the passenger's side rear wheel well. and other minor scratches. Again, I took several photos of the body and they are included in the 24 photos. The tires aregood, and the Mercedes is complete. If you have any questions or concern regarding the Mercedes please give me a call. My name isBob and I will gladly answer your questions. My number is (801) 745-5835 and Utah is in the mountain time zone. The reason I'm selling my Mercedes is the reality of being 84 years old and having two other old cars in need of restoration. Good luck with the auction. I will keep the Mercedes securely stored until you have the pick up arranged. Ihope my 1968 Mercedes 230 (Fintail) Sedan finds a good home. Good luck bidding.
