1985 MERCEDES 380SEL EURO 126 Sedan

Vehicle Description

Letting my 1985 380 SEL (EURO) go after almost 20 years of ownership. This car has been great and would make any vintage Mercedes owner happy. Has the smaller 3.8L V8 (as opposed to 5.6L guzzler) with automatic trans. Serviced it regularly, has recent brakes, exhaust, water pump, radiator, idle control module, window regulators/motors (front), window weatherstripping, and ignition module. Installed remote start and keyless entry, HD radio with CD and AUX (1 or 2 speakers go in&out). A/C was converted to 134a and blows cold. Most features work as they should with the exception of cruise control, an intermittent tachometer and the antenna doesn't fully retract. Ignition key is difficult to insert at times. Drives well, shifts smoothly through all 4 gears and has never been in an accident. Gets over 20mpg on the highway!
This is by no means a show car. It has several dents, dings and scrapes. Has rust in left front fender, in the rockers and some paint bubbling and chipping (see pictures), but still shines great and looks pretty good from 20 feet away!! Interior is better than average, with tears at the drivers seat. Rest shows little wear.
It's the EURO version (grey market), built in Germany and converted to U.S. standards. I installed 15" newer style Mercedes wheels which have Michelins with 6/32nds left. Please keep in mind that this car is over 30 years old, so there is NO warranty whatsoever. I've tried to describe it as well as possible and pictured defects. Local viewing is welcome.
