1982 Mazda RX7 - 12A Rotary Engine - 5 Speed Transmission - 126,028 miles
This is a very nice looking and well running car. I'm the second owner. I've owned it for 12 years and have replaced or serviced most of the mechanical parts. The engine, transmission, clutch and rear-end were checked out and found to be good by Mazcare in Marietta Georgia as part of a comprehensive mechanical inspection of the vehicle after I had replaced many mechanical parts. Everything in the car works (including the A/C), except the cassette player.
I went through the brakes, steering, suspension, cooling system, and clutch hydraulics, and rebuilt the carburetor.
Replaced the brake master cylinder, calipers, rear-wheel cylinders, all brake hoses, front pads, front rotors, rear drums (the rear shoes looked new, so I left them). Replaced the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and hose.
Replaced inner and outer tie rod ends, lower control arms (control arms are Mazda OEM parts), strut inserts, idler arm bushings, sway bar links and bushings (front and rear) and rear shocks.
Replaced the water pump, belts and hoses and oil cooler hoses. It also has new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. New battery and tires (a few years ago).
Installed new weather seals.
This is most but not everything I've done. A parts list is included in the pictures - over $3500.00. I also have PDFs of all the receipts (except for the tires).
It's a fun car to drive, but I've developed nerve damage in my left foot so driving a manual transmission car has become unpleasant.
I will not ship the car; it will have to be picked up in Dunwoody, Georgia (suburb of Atlanta). Folks are welcome to inspect the car before bidding.
