1977 Lotus Eclat 907 2.0-liter, 16-valve, all-alloy inline-four engine producing 160 horsepower, which was a high-performance unit for the time that also powered other contemporary Lotus models like the Esprit and Elite.This engine was mounted longitudinally in front, sending power to the rear wheels and contributing to the lightweight Éclat's engaging performance and sharp handling.
You will notice pictures of 2 red cars, both 1977 Eclats. They were supposed to be my projects from 15 years ago but as you can see never did anything to them. They ran well when I parked them inside. The right hand drive is complete as well. In fact the right hand drive (euro model) is in decent shape. Still needs paint and TLC. As you know there is no rust on these fiber glass cars. So just do the interior, paint and clean up mechanical. They will look spectacular as ypu can see in a restored photo here. Both cars run on ether spray currently. I didnt want to put gas in the tank untill cleaned or drained well and unfortunately have no time for that. Just wanted everyone to knkw that they both actually will run with no smoke or issues. Rakes and clutch need fluid changed and checked of course. Carbs may need to run fuel cleaner through them or perhaps rebuild them. Both have the dual carbs as they are original equipment and unmodified. Both are 4 speed transmission as well.These cars are a blast to drive and handle amazing like on rails. I am losing the storage so will be selling 50 of my cars. So keep an eye out. I've been collecting cars for 30 years. I have both titles and both are clean. They are not registered but there is no penalty. On California PNO (planned non operation).Very reasonable reserve.
I've been asked if I can sell one of tje two cars separetly. If this listing ends with no sale then I will separate the two cars in different listing. Just know that I've priced these 2 cars as a package deal almost as a price of one. Eclats/Elites sell for 20 to 40k restored. Both these cars are priced as a small fraction of one car. Bid with confidence. Ill help with the pick up and loading up etc. But please be a serious buyer. Thanks
