Vehicle Description

Dad bought this 5 or 6 years ago, put it in the pole barn, and there it has sat. All good intentions...
He says he thinks the engine might be locked up.
Someone previously was apparently unable to find the keys and planned to replace locks and such - the ignition switch is gone and they've disassembled the trunk latch. (Hence the ratchet strap to keep the trunk closed - which we'll throw in with the car. For FREE!) Dad doesn't remember whether it came with keys. My guess is no.
The previous owner appears to have been driving it from the time he bought it in 2007 until at least July of 2011, based on the full coverage insurance he had on the car - and gas receipts.
It's got an interesting transmission - there is no "Park" on the indicator. Dad says instead of putting it in P, you put it in reverse and turn the engine off. Then something about compression and the car is essentially in park. Me? I'd use the parking brake.
From what I can tell, it's got all the original trim, original upholstery, original ugly paint on the engine. The valve covers have Lincoln stamped into them. I think all the little details are super cute. I'm told I shouldn't use the word cute cuz it'll put the guys off. I believe in y'all, guys - I know you can handle it when I say the car has many CUTE features.
I'm not going to guess how many miles are on the car. It says 30407. Maybe it's 30k, maybe 130, maybe 230? <shrug> For all I know it's got over a million miles on it. But I'd be willing to bet you a dollar that it's only got 30,407 on it.
Speedometer goes to 120. Will it go that fast? I don't know. I can push it, but I can't run THAT fast. Not even if you dangle a carrot in front of me.
It smells like it's been in a barn for a while. Wonder why.
We've set the reserve price below what dad paid for the car. Of course he'd love to get more for it, but mostly he wants to get rid of stuff. If you happen to see anything in the background of the car's photos that you want - send me a message. I'm sure we can work a deal.
We won't ship the car. You can come get it or you can send uShip or any of the auto transporters. We'll work with ya.
Feel free to message me with an offer. I guess I didn't pay enough for this listing to be able to add that functionality, but there's always messaging.
Winning bidder: $500 deposit due within 24 hours. If you communicate, we can wiggle a little on that. If there is no communication, we'll offer it to the next bidder. If you do not complete the sale, we will deduct $100 from your deposit and return the remaining $400 - to cover the relisting fee and the time wasted.
I feel like there was something else I wanted to tell you, but it has slipped right outta my mind. Maybe I'll remember later.
