1955 Land Rover Series 1 86” station wagon door and roof fitted

Vehicle Description
16 years owned, 1955 Land Rover Series 1 86” with station wagon door and roof, that I purchased from Dunsfold Land Rover in the UK and then personally imported. The vehicle is titled in Minnesota on a clean title in my name.
I always wanted a Series 1, but knew with original engine, brakes and differential, the top speed was around 42 MPH and not good to drive in modern traffic.
Prior to my purchase the original 2.0 Liter gas engine was replaced with 2.5 liter 4 cylinder Land Rover Defender gas engine, for improved performance, reliability and availability of spares.
High Ratio differential Land Rover Differentials and larger brakes were also installed to allow Land Rover to cruise at 60 MPH and keep up with modern traffic.
The speedometer shows 44,734, but this mileage cannot be guaranteed.
The original gearbox and transfer box are installed, noting you need to double de-clutch in first and second gear. The gearbox and transfer box work well, with no known issues.
The aluminum body overall is in good condition, noting the paint is peeling in places, and there is a pot riveted panel on the driver’s side fender top. There is a small piece of rust on the top of the drivers side firewall.I like the patina look, so I have left is like that.
The interior has been updated with new bench seats in the rear, seat belts in the front for safety and a center console in the center with cup holders.
There is green industrial like carpet installed on the door interiors and roof interior, that really helps to reduce the noise level in the interior when driving.
As can be seen from the photos included the chassis is in excellent condition, noting patches have been welded in a couple of places on the chassis over the years.
A new Brake Master Cylinder from Dingcroft, brakes cylinders and brake shoes were fitted all around in last 50 miles
Vehicle and title will not be released until funds have been cleared by my bank
