Vehicle Details
Actual VIN: SALLDHMF7KA924560 (eBay wouldn’t let me put vin in because it’s right hand drive)
From the available records it seems I’m the 3rd owner. It spent most its life in the possession of an older woman in Australia. It was imported here via Texas and then sold to a gentlemen in Coloroda who fixed things here and there on it and enjoyed it for a couple of years. I purchased it January of 2020 and my wife and I drove it cross country back to Georgia. Besides the headlight switch frying out on me we had no trouble.
I’ve had a lot of work done to the vehicle and this list is not exhaustive:
- Brand new Ashcroft R380 “stumpy” transmission with HD bearing (less than 800 miles on it)
- Brand new Ashcroft LT230 transfer case with higher gear ratio for highway
- Resurfaced flywheel
- Brand new heavy duty starter (not OEM but upgraded)
- New battery
- New water pump, thermostat, p-gasket, ladder frame gasket, new radiator
- LOF power spec clutch with new master and slave cylinder
- New brake booster, master cylinder, reservoir, front disc brakes, front calipers, braided lines front and back
- Rebuilt drive shafts
- Front leather seat kit from exmoor
- New old style shift knobs
- New timing belt and pulley
- and many various nuts and bolts, gaskets, etc…
What needs attention:
Runs and drives great BUT it is a 32 year old Land Rover.. the following are things I was too lazy to fix because they didn’t really bother me driving it around town
- horn needs to be fixed or reconnected
- front blinkers are new but not reconnected
- wipers seem to have a short in the connection point of the harness (brand new switch but the fuse blows)
- cable to the heater box needs to be reconnected (I have a brand new one)
- speedo cable needs to be reconnected to the transfer case ( I have a brand new one)
- various rattles and squeaks and rust spots (the worst of which are pictured)
- Emergency brake actuator is seized up (will require regreasing and should work)
I have several parts such as gaskets, cables, nuts and bolts and a brand new turbo cartridge with all ancillary parts.
