1974 Series III 88" Land Rover - 200tdi, Galvanized Chassis – Full Mech Rebuild

Vehicle Description
1974 Series 3 88” Land Rover Serious interest only, no dealers or "help" in selling.Cash or Cashier's Check Only. If a branch of your bank is local we will meet there to collect the check. If not we will work out details with the issuing bank.
After 6½ years of mechanical restoration and ~8,000 miles of reliable driving since, for sale is my 1974 Series III 88” to make space (and time) for new adventures.
This isn’t a trailer queen or showroom restoration — it’s better than that. It’s been rebuilt to drive, explore, and last. The mechanical systems were completely overhauled or replaced, including a solid 200tdi turbo diesel, galvanized chassis and bulkhead, upgraded braking, and a full rewire with LED lighting. Every component was cleaned, painted, sealed, or galvanized with longevity in mind. The result is a rig that starts up without fuss, cruises at highway speeds, and still turns heads at petrol stations.
Body-wise, it retains the dings and character it earned long before I owned it. I deliberately chose to leave those marks of history intact — this Land Rover’s story didn’t start with me, and I didn’t want to erase it. That said, every panel has been cleaned and repainted in the original color, and corrosion prevention was a top priority throughout.
I’m not in a rush to sell, and I’m only interested in passing it on to someone who understands what this truck is and will appreciate it for what it can do. It’s ready to take you wherever you want to go and back again.
Happy to talk more or send detailed information to serious buyers. Please email with questions, I am happy to arrange a viewing if you like. If you do purchase this, I would like to spend some time with you going through all of the modifications and work accomplished.
