This 1968 Jeep CJ5 is a frame off restoration 90 % done. I am selling as is so new buyer can finish the project.This Jeep is basically new throughout. This project started by reinforcing the frame with steel plates welded in critical.areas CREATING A ROCK SOLID STARTING POINT. Then a new tub was installed and a completely rebuilt drive train with performance upgrades to the stock 225 v6 motor (aftermarket cam, porting work on the heads, weber carburetor, HEI ignition and chrome headers).The motor will be reliable and perform like a v8 without the extra weight. Transmission, transfer case and differentials rebuilt. New 3" lift suspension 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering, and more! everything else is new anything than could be replaced or rebuilt was! All of the upgrades are the best parts I could locate 11"double piston front disc brakes 10" rear discs, electric power steering and much more There is too much to list . I can email a complete list to interested parties. It just needs minor adjustments to complete the mechanica, the body is 90% ready for paint .this is a great project for a person that wants to add there personal touch ie; pain, interior and audio.This is basically a new 1968 jeep. 0 miles since rebuild the motor was run to break it in then the oil and filter were replaced. new wiring harness needs a few wires. to be connected. throttle and brake linkage needs to be finished. brakes need to be bled and adjusted front end alignments needed. windshield needs to be installed. the hood needs some work before paint. The interior was coated with spray on bedliner and is ready to be finished. Stock seats included. Individual gauges including tac, and clock. The electric power steering needs to be adjusted. Half doors and bimini cover. Many extra parts frame, tub, stock brakes fenders and all stock parts that were replaced.
