Vehicle Description

California Fresh Full Size Jeep Cherokee Chief Sport. 360 V8 with 727 Auto Trans, 4x4 with manual lockout hubs.Tires have tread, but are old. Engine tune up work done, Brakes done with all new parts, dual exhaust, custom bumpers. This truck is the Blue Beast! Yes, she is a Monster! Runs great, not too loud while driving but Roars when you goose it. I have never driven at high speeds or long distance, just some crawling around on hilly twisty dirt roads...and she excelled!Inside is rough, some of the switches might not work, but she has original buckets with center rest, and back seat folds down, then flips forward to front seat backs.Tired window motors, electric windows and locks. When battery is fully charged the windows work better. When battery is low, they slow down or stop. Enough works now to drive it, but really needs a lot of detail components renewed. I was using old batteries ass I did not drive hardly at aall, and batteries always seemed to run down after sitting. Not sure if that's old batteries, of something robbing power. I have a new battery for it.People are doing serious restorations on these trucks and demanding very high prices. The shine is off of this one, but she is California Clean. Hardly any rust at all and no major dents. I found peeling/cracking bondo from when she got her 80's makeover. Rather than ignoring or restoring, I scraped it out, did careful sanding, then etched, primed and painted the spots. This way its preserved, but you can see what you've got. Nothing hidden. She has a salvage title. I was told its not from collision, but from being stolen. She disappeared for a while and eventually turned up in Sacramento, CA. That's when she got the salvage designation. You can pick her apart, but you will look long and hard to find a more solid, better running Widebody Survivor FSJ in northern NY.The first several pics were taken last summer when still in CA. The last group of closeups were taken July 2025. Has not been driven in NY, however the sun is working on the clear coat causing fading of paint coat and peeling of the clear. I focused on bottom pics because thats where the beef is, and the true test of clean. See the solid floors and the crisp edges on all the metal components. If you want to build an awesome FSJ, you will save a lot of work/dollars if you don't have to clean up rust and/or collision damage and you start with something clean and solid. Want a beast that won't fall apart on you? This is the one!Still has CA plates and title. Registered Non-Operational in CA. Current location, Watertown, NY.For sale as-is, where-is. Please do your own inspection and ask all questions before bidding.
