1979 Jeep CJ7 - Factory 304 V8 Wedgwood Blue

Vehicle Description
Up for your consideration is a 1979 Jeep CJ7 finished in color code 9E Wedgewood Blue. AMC absolutely nailed the blues, and Wedgewood Blue was a 1979 only color and one of the most sought after colors AMC offered. Combined with the fact this is a factory 304 "H-code" (H in the VIN denotes 304 V8), this is one scarce CJ to come across! Highly collectible in restored condition. This is the perfect candidate for a somewhat easy restoration or enjoy as-is with some minor workThe Jeep has minimal rust in the normal locations. I say minimal because it came from Northern California. The frame is rock solid, but you'll find minor rust on the front passenger fender and the voids on the tub to the left and the right of the rear tailgate. The front passenger fender could probably be patched, but probably easiest to replace it with an OEM fender or even an aftermarket fender easily sourced. Should you decide to restore this, the back rust areas on the tub to the left and right of the tailgate (seen towards the bottom) are very common and very simple to cut out and patch. The front floorboards do have some minor surface rust and ever so slight pitting, but they're still quite solid as far as I can tell. Since these photos were taken, the battery was removed and used for a separate project, so it does not come with a battery. The Jeep still retains the original rear Levi seat, but its in rough condition. There are people who are making near-perfect restoration quality Levi interiors. Happy to point you in the right direction after purchase if you so choose to do a full and complete restoration.Mechanically here is what I can tell you. Jeep ran fine when I got it 1.5 years ago. It's been parked and not started since then. I have maybe .25 miles on the Jeep and that's all. I strongly believe everything is fine as far as the powertrain goes, but I never really drove this thing. It's been sitting since I got it and needs fuel drained, fluids flushed and I'm sure some seals/gaskets replaced. I'm very confident you can change fluids, get a new battery, and drive it.As for the gauges, I can't remember what worked and what didn't. Again, this is a project Jeep and expect to put some time into it. BUT, it will be well invested time as you just can't beat the color combo, engine and transmission package, and nostalgia of this Wedgewood Blue CJ7. As seen in the photos, no top or doors come with the Jeep (I never had them). Happy to provide new photos for you upon request. Just let me know what you'd like to see.The fine print - $500 non-refundable deposit upon accepted offer. Cash, bank wire, or certified check within 3 business days of accepted offer. I can store the Jeep for up to 30 days free of charge, but know it is parked outside with a cover on it. After 30 days, $100 weekly storage fee. I can help with transport logistics or you can drive over here with a trailer, drink a beer, and we'll get it loaded on the trailer for ya....sometimes that's just better! Thanks for looking.
