1969 CJ5, Dauntless V6, Overdrive
Vehicle Description
1969 Jeep CJ-5 with the Dauntless V6, 81,100 miles (TMU), rear factory limited slip, 3 speed with Saturn Overdrive, single stick transfer case.
This is an Arizona Jeep! Purchased from 2nd owner fall of 2022. It is about as original as it gets. One rust spot on the body and windshield frame, no rot otherwise. Tons of new parts.
What I've replaced: Battery, Plastic MTS. fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel lines, thermostat, rad hoses, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, points/condenser, coil, remanufactured rochester 2G carb, new wiring harness from Walcks (all lights and gauges work), rebuilt Spartan blinker box, STA bias ply tires, Bestop top and doors, windshield and seal, heater core, melling lifters and push rods. Cam and valley looked good and so did rocker arm train.
It went to Greg's Auto in East Nashville in January, they performed the following work:
New transfer case and parking brake assembly, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rebuilt Warn hubs, front knuckles, king pin bearings, wheel bearings front and rear, axles seals, new rear axle shafts, all new fluids (diffs, brake, coolant, oil), shocks, leaf shackles, leaf plates and axle u-bolts, refreshed driveshafts.
Currently has original oil bath air filter. Will come with later paper element style, set of new leaf springs, waterpump and neck, DUI extended shaft HEI, new dash, and of course a box of parts.
