Selling my 1983 jeep Scrambler. I'm the second owner of this jeep. I've had it for around 10 years now. Its originally from California there is not a spec of rust or rot on it. My father and I have been collecting jeeps for over 20 years now and this is the cleanest one we've encountered. The exterior is in great shape it went through a cosmetic restoration around 8 years ago. i tried to keep it as original as possible. Other than a respray it still wears the original fender flares, original wagon wheels and tire carrier. There are two small blemishes in the paint since we've been driving it but nothing concerning at all. Interior is in great shape both front seats are original that show well for being 40 years old. Rear seat was added with a new cover. dash pad is original with no cracks. Dash gauges are nicer and vibrant. Speedo shows a little over 85k miles oil and volt gauge look great and work well. Gas gauge doesn't work but have an nos one I was planning on throwing in. Drivetrain works great. Just replaced the water pump and recored due to it leaking a bit. Engine has no ticks or knocks. The 258 is mated to a t5 transmission that shifts like it should no issues there. Does have an aftermarket muffler due to it having an exhaust leak but still has original catalytic convertor on it. The body is super straight no dents or dings anywhere. The floor pans have never been painted and still sport the original metal. The floor for the bed is all original but did have it repainted as well. No metal has been replaced on this jeep in its life. The frame is in immaculate shape. It has never been painted patched.
