1978 JEEP CJ7 Original Condition - NOT restored (they are only original once) with 55K Original Miles


My humble prediction: These CJ7's are going the same way as the Bronco! With the explosion of the current modern Jeep, it has brought much attention and value to these. I really believe, THIS ONE being so unique and original will set the bar eventually!

This original CJ7 Jeep has been in our family for 40+ years. Lived most of its life in our Mammoth Lakes CA vacation home fully enclosed and insulated garage, a very dry climate. This rare and unique Jeep has the original paint, drive-train, interior, wheels, etc...absolutely great shape. Runs excellent! Dual exhaust, sound nice! Everything works on it. Recently had a complete tune up, fluids, new stock height leaf springs, carburetor, and radiator. All 5 tires are new BF Goodrich. Always meticulously maintained. Original Leaf Springs and Carb, misc parts come with it.

If you are looking for an original Jeep, Levi Edition, Fully Loaded Golden Eagle Features, this is it! They are only original once!
I did much research on the Golden Eagle out of curiosity over the years. It seems, based on all the expert input that it is most likely a Golden Eagle with a Hood Decal delete.

Not so perfect items, in an effort to paint an accurate picture;

• Passenger fender slightly bent...had a dent remover company quote $360 to fix.
• Drivers Seat shows some wear, tears in horz seat portion.
• Few small nicks - cracks in original windsheild
• Hard top has a chip out of the rear corner
• few nicks and dings in body
• Original carpet shows wear
• QuadraTrac Trans has a slight "vibration" only on 100% slow sharp turns. Has never created a problem.
  
• 8 Track does not seem to be working. Could be the one tape I have (I am not sure)
  

This CJ7 Jeep get's BIG THUMBS UP where ever I go! It is VERY unique, as I have never seen the same color combo and features on one in 40 years of driving this one. If you are the lucky one to buy it, be prepared to have many conversations about it.
Currently registered in California, expires April 2021. Certificate of Ownership "Title" in hand.

Why am I selling after all these years? Times have changed. Scaling down the toys. Working on setting up a 2nd home in a location 500 miles away, to be near the Grand-kids. It has been a blast owning and taking care of this Jeep. Much pride of ownership. Ready to pass on to another to enjoy it.
