For this reason, I have little faith in the ebay auction system and I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME, AND SELL THIS CA, REGARDLESS OF AUCTION STATUS. EXPECTATIONS AFTER THE 'PURCHASE' : I expect you only to ask me how to pay me. I do not expect you to ask me for more photo, videos, questions about escrow services, etc. The time to do this is before you commit to purchase - I will send you more photos / videos/ etc - Just call and ask! I accept cash in hand, wire transfers, bank deposits, cashiers checks, personal checks, venmo, cashapp, etc. Whatever payment method we use, *once cleared in my bank, the vehicle will be released to you or your transportation company. VIN# confirms this is the 21st 3.8L MK2 ever made. Very early detail, like, recessed sun visors in the headliner. Oil bath air cleaner still present in front of left hand fender. Steel steering column surround, not plastic/ bakelite. You will call me if you are interested, but in short, very early MKII here. Also only one family-owned.
Engine does start with starting fluid. I have not tried to clean fuel tanks/ replace fuel pump yet. I can confirm engine turns over/ has oil pressure / starts on button with staring fluid. Replaced ignition system with electronic ignition for ease of starting. Replaced entire ignition distributor/ wires/ spark plugs / coil/ battery.

I bought this Jaguar recently to m, I love the MK2 - The serial # indicates it is the 21st car built of the 3.8 MK2 series - Super low numbe, probably built the first day of production.
I thought it was all origina, and in amazing condition... but after getting it home, I think it was originally red. I also can not believe the interior is original - it is in pretty much perfect condition. Seats are not leather, but vinyl/ naugahyde? this car was probably restored in the 1970s.
It was parked in a warehouse since 1982. I have the California 1978 titl, I was told it was a one-family car, and the only title transfer was from mother to son.
Car rolls freely. Brand new tires. I have recently purchased and installed a positive ground electronic ignition system complete with new distributor, wires, plugs and coil, and engine runs now on starting fluid!
I would probably need to invest another $2000 in cleaning fluids, cleaning tank, rebuilding carbs, before really trying to run this longer than a few seconds as I have now. Has ran enough to confirm good oil pressure.
I will keep this car if it does not sell this second round here on ebay. I will invest the time and money, as it is worth it.... I may even covert to 4 speed manual.

3.8L / Automatic / non power steering, no AC ... Paint is beautiful but old, scratched, and body damage on drivers side of the car during storage. Is it a good car to buy to make money on .... ? Probably not. Is it a good car if you want a nice MK2 3.8L jag to keep for yourself....? Probably the best.
