1960 jaguar mk2

Vehicle Description
I'm back with another great car to sell. I have 100% feedback on Ebay and everywhere I list items for sale, since 2001. I've sold all my cars and motorcycles on CarGuru, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist over the years with no complaints. I'm an honest and upfront seller, and I still keep in contact with some of the people I've sold cars to in the last10 years. I just sold my father’s 2019 G90that you can call another ecstatic customer. I will be also listing other car parts soon that I have left on Ebay and craigslist.
This is a high-end car kept in a high-end garage. It's in excellent condition and will make a nice addition to any car collectors’ collection.
Don't lose out on this perfect opportunity to own this magnificent, stunningly beautiful, and excellent condition 1960 Jaguar Mark II.
Here is your chance to own a beautiful antique 1960 Jaguar Mark II for almost half of what it cost to rebuild it to this exquisite almost perfect condition.
This car that cost over $130,000 to bring it to this magnificent condition, and you can own for a lot less than it cost to rebuild into the most beautiful colored car out there. The car is a beautiful burgundy red car and has a totally redone light beige leather interior with beautiful burl wood dash, rear desk, highlighted and trimmed interior. I do woodwork and sculpture, and this is so beautifully handcrafted that it makes the car’s interior standout beautifully.
This car was my parents and was given to them for payment on a debt. My father who loved and knew cars better than anyone I ever met spared no expense to restore this car to its immaculate condition that it istoday. Their mechanic Phillip Middleton took the engine totally apart and meticulously rebuilt a newly conditioned transmission and engine to exact specified condition and added the best thing needed here in the south especially in summer an air conditioning system. He also put in a new Bose radio and speakers.
My father was a marine and had to have everything perfect, so he had Phillip come to his modified garage almost every weekend for over a year and periodically comes to maintain its excellent condition.
Phillip comes from England and works on engines almost his whole life. He still works for Skip Smith a well-known antique coinsures on his own show on television.
Phillip still comes by to help maintain this car excellent condition and is available if the car stays in Georgia.
You will not find a more beautiful burgundy color exterior and perfect shape interior with its extra added features anywhere on the internet because I've tried.
This car is a head Turner it's so beautiful.
This car is garage kept on a trickle charger and started often by me and periodically checked on by Phillip.
I have meticulous records of all the work and maintenance done to this car, and some of the Awards won at various Jaguar and car shows in Georgia while my father was alive.
Almost all the specs for the car are listed below.

Note from my mother the owner:
My husband Don was a car guru for many years. He loved cars and owned many classics over the years. My favorites were a 1931 Buick with wood wheels and a 1962 red Chevy pick-up with red and white dice hanging from the mirror,
Don was a Marine and proud of it. He recently passed away, and now I must sell the car he loved and invested time and money into making it a classic.
. I have driven jaguars since 1981. I loved the lines and the colors and have suffered through the Lucas electrical system. There were only182 Mark2 1960 made. Don spared no expense creating this classic. He installed air conditioning, the top-of-the-line carpeting and upholstery and some wood paneling. Most importantly he had an expert go through the engine like a watchmaker.
The color is my favorite, burgundy and beige interior. We both loved this car.
I would appreciate your help in finding a new owner who will appreciate it
HISTORY OF JAGUAR
The Jaguar company first appeared on the car market scene in 1922 as the
Swallow Sidecar Company, found by William Lyons and William Walmsley in
Britain, England. After buying out his partner in 1934 Lyons formed the
S.S. Cars Limited, and the name jaguar first appeared on the scene in
1935 as a car model name, the SS Jaguar 100. On March 23, 1945, the
shareholders and William Lyons decided to change the name of the company
from S.S. Cars Limited to Jaguar Cars Limited, the changing of the name
was done to help distinguish it from the competition. Although
production and orders did not cease it was significantly halted because
of the war effort of England in the 1940's. At the time Jaguar had
customers waiting for vehicles but because of strict regulations by
England's central planning committee, materials such as steel, were hard
to come by and car production was slowed. At this time Jaguar was being
built with independent bodies being built independent third-party
manufacturers, and continued this practice into the 1960's.
During the 50's and 60's Jaguar began producing series of successful sports car. Known for their high performance, conspicuous look, and success on the racetrack winning the Le Mans 24-hour race on several occasions. Jaguars’ success came with the progress of their twin-cam straight six-cylinder engine, despite low octane rating. During the 50's vehicles were offered with three different piston configurations that altered the octane level of the engine from low, medium, and high. Jaguar facing financial struggles and an uncertainty of the future, Lyons sold the company to British Motor Corporation and formed British Motor Holdings limited. After little attention was given to Jaguar, and very limited capital to aid in development of Jaguar products the company was again sold during the Thatcher administration of to a private company in 1984. During the 1980's Jaguar made significant strides in terms of engineering and production that had previously prevented them from selling more cars. Sir John Egan helped develop overall quality, increase production rates, increase delivery efficiency, and cut overall company costs. Jaguar began to catch the public's eye again with more moderate pricing across the board and an overall increase in performance.
During the 1990's Ford Motor Company purchased Jaguar, making Jaguar a part of its new Premier Automotive Group alongside Range Rover, Aston Martin, Volvo, and Lincoln. During this time Jaguar was never able to regain sales and popularity, never recording a profit while being owned by Ford. Jaguar was sold to Tata Motor Limited in 2008, since the company has worked on rebuilding the Jaguar brand and continuing the legacy of high-performance sports vehicles.
The Jaguar Mark 2, the successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 Jaguar Mark 1, was produced from 1959 to 1967. The Mark 2 was designed as a 4-door saloon and came with a XK inline 6-cylinder engine with either 120, 210, or 220 horsepower depending on the engine size which were 2.5, 3.4, 3.8 liters. The Mark two originally came with a 4-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive, Jaguar also offered 3-speed automatic transmission. With a 3.8-liter engine the Mark 2 had a top speed of 125 mph and a 0-60 time of 8.5 seconds. The Mark 1 and 2 continued to be a popular design look throughout, influencing many cars over the decades.
The Classic Car Appraisal Servicehas carefully examined this 1960 Jaguar MK2 saloon on October 26, 2019 at your residence in Sandy Springs, GA 30328 in order to make a determination of its current retail market value. This MK2 Jaguar has had a Chevrolet Camaro transmission, rack & pinion steering and aftermarket air conditioning installed.
The odometer on this Burgundy metallic exterior and Bisque leather interior Jaguar shows 30,574 miles. Amenities include but are not necessarily limited to the following: a 3.8 liter/230cid/220bhp twin cam inline-6 engine; automatic transmission; vacuum boost 4-wheel disc brakes: rack & pinion steering.; dual chrome exterior mirrors: electric cooling fan: air conditioning. Alpine (7156) M/FM cassette radio with 2 Alpine speakers in the kick panels: oil pressure, water temperature ampere, fuel 140 mph and tachometer gauges; clock; seatbelts; windshield washers. Lucas Fogranger fog lights Lucas’s headlights and a Duracell battery. The tires are a matched set of whitewalls size P195/75R15, mounted on Jaguar wire wheels and knock off caps.
Mechanical Our test drive found the rebuilt engine to start quickly and idle smoothly. The 700R4 Camaro automatic transmission shifted smoothly and quietly through the gears When the Camaro transmission was installed, the driveshaft had to be altered to fit and there were no vibrations felt. The steering and brakes easily stopped the car in a straight line with no pulling or pulsating. The exhaust was quiet and at this time we found that the air conditioning needs to be charged. We were informed by Jaguar enthusiasts, that a lot of MK2's have replaced the transmission to make it a better driving car and it does not affect the values
Exterior: The body is in excellent condition with no rust, dings, or dents noted. this car has a very nice paint job. but has a touched around the radio antennae. The paint has cracked from vibrations of the antenna when driving. the hood has been replaced, and the color is very nicely matched, and no notice is made when in sunshine. The weather stripping is in very good pliable condition. The alignment gaps trim and chrome are very good.
