Vehicle Description

1949 International KB 5 (Bud)Bud lived and worked in South Dakota in his early days. He hauled grain 2 miles each way for the first 35 years, slept inside every night and was very well cared for. He was retired from farming around 1990 and went to a retirement home for the next 30 years or so. After collecting dust there, he was transferred to another home where he sat for another 7 years or so. Being neglected for so long was both good and bad for Bud. He stayed in very good original condition, but his joints stiffened up from lack of use (I know the feeling). I adopted Bud and determined to make him a contributing member of society. The good thing is, I drove him onto the trailer. Since then, about 2 years ago, Bud and I have become very close, (sometimes against my will) and he has been rehabilitated quite sufficiently. The following is a list (hopefully I remember it all) of things new to Bud in recent days. New windshield gasket, window and door seals, sweeps. A new headliner. Tires, tubes, and flaps (drove him 400 miles to a car show last year, got that off the bucket list). All rebuilt brake cylinders (stainless lined). rebuilt CARB (SINGLE CARTER) and relined fuel tank.new hoses and belts, rebuilt generator (6-volt positive ground), rebuilt starter. Rebuilt lift cylinders, (of course he dumps he was a grain truck). Bud is a very high functioning senior but has a few things to tend to here and there but overall, he is in driving/working condition. Bud needs a good home to live out another 76 years.
