The engine and transmission are in good running condition. The engine starts up every time without smoke or any weird noises. No major leaks either. The clutch and transmission shift nicely through all of the gears. This Scout cruises at 65 mph easily! The brakes also work as they should, the brake shoes have been replaced. The fuel tank was dropped and cleaned recently with new fuel lines front to back. The engine has new spark plugs, spark plug wires, points, distributor cap and rotor. Also, just changed the oil & filter. It has a new aluminum radiator that cools the engine well.
The body of this Scout is 100% rust free. There is no rust in the usual places. No rust in the rockers, fenders, wheel wells, body mounts, orrot through the floor boards. Only surface rust as seen in the photos.
The interior has aftermarket seats, but original Scout II bucket seats will be included in the sale as seen in the photos. The rear seat is nice without tears. The dash has cracks and missing the stereo. EVERYTHING else mechanically works as it should, see list below.This is one amazingly rust free and functional Scout! It is ready to be driven as a daily driver or an excellent restoration candidate.
