Vehicle Description

This 1972 GMC C1500 Super Custom pickup was purchased in 2015. It has undergone a massive amount of work. All the work has been done professionally by ASE certified mechanics.This truck is mechanically done. Everything works it drives great. It handles great and has modern equipment installed so you don't have to worry about carburation and other old annoyances. A large box of receipts and manuals is available if the you want it with the truck.
The body work is done in a way so that the truck can be driven and not worried about. It's just a fun truck to drive.
Some of the work done includes:

  • The entire truck was taken off the frame. Frame and all suspension components were all media blasted and powder coated. All other suspension components were replaced including rear leaf springs, all bushings, and shocks all the way around.
  • Brakes and wheel bearings and wheels and tires are brand new.
  • All the fluid lines and all the electrical has been replaced.
The engine and transmission from a 2001 Silverado were rebuilt and upgraded and fitted to the truck.
  • The engine is a 5.3L LM7 cast iron block it was bored thirty over and fitted with flat top pistons, a stage 1 cam, LS7 lifters and rockers. The engine block was magnafluxed and inspected, the crankshaft was cleaned and balanced. The intake is a Trail Blazer SS with upgraded injectors.
  • Transmission is rebuilt with all redline clutches it was fitted with a corvette servo. The torque converter is a heavy duty high stall converter.
  • Rear differential uses the stock housing but has been upgraded to a Yukon locker geared to 3.42.
  • Factory AC compressor has been updated to R134 and uses a Sanden style compressor.
  • Interior has had many fixes including:seat belts were replaced and changed to a 3 point style, dash has been completely redone to include autometer gauges, new dash pad, new seats and cushions, new windshield, new wing windows, new door latches and keys.
  • The wheels are 17'' and are also powder coated flat black. The tires are 265/65 and are less than a year old.
  • Front and rear inner wheel wells have been replaced. All body bushings have been replaced. All the bolts are brand new. Gas tank has been moved from the cab to under the bed.
  • Radiator is an aluminum dual pass design, all hoses and pump are brand new. Electric fans are new and are high output fans.
