Vehicle Details
This van was sitting in a barn since 1984, I rescued it three years ago and started slowly working on it and putting my money and love into this vehicle to get it running and driving. Anything that has to do with the brakes has been replaced and is brand new including all of the hardlines, so they are working perfectly. The original gas tank has been professionally cleaned out and installed with a new fuel pump and fuel sending unit, it also has new fuel lines running to the carburetor. The engine is a 250 GM motor in-line six with a three on the tree manual transmission. The transmission has been looked at professionally and is in perfect working order with new bushings for the shifting linkage so it is shifting perfectly. The motor had a diagnostic test and I was told that the motor has low compression although it idles perfectly and drives fine. They recommended a rebuild or replacement. But again I’m able to drive it around no problem, it is slow but there is no need for me to go fast like a modern day car so I have not pursued this option. It is driving fine as is, it will need a choke cable installed to the carburetor, I have linkage for it. It just needs to be installed. The wheels are American racing thrust mags with a staggered fit, The front wheels are 15 x 8 and the rear wheels are 15 x 12. The tires are in great shape, but they have been sitting for a few years as the van was waiting for certain things to be done before it can be road worthy. Although the vehicle does have surface rust on the outside, it is actually very solid. The only area where rust is eating through is on the upper Passenger side, drip rail towards the back as you could see in the photos. There are a couple small tiny holes upfront on the floorboard But nothing very serious, and everything else of the vehicle is very solid, including the frame and all other components throughout the vehicle. The coil had been replaced with a HEI distributor, It has a new alternator, new thermostat, housing, and thermostat, all hoses have been replaced with new hoses, new spark plugs, New battery, The original seats have been reupholstered as well as the sunvisor to match. All of the electronics of the vehicle are working perfectly, including the radio, although the radio does not have any speakers hooked up to it at this time. In the photos, the door is not complete on the passenger side due to me fixing the door handle button that seemed to be locked, but I have already put it all back together and it is working perfectly now and the key locks the doors perfectly. I have receipts for everything that I have done for the vehicle that will be included with the sale as well as the original title from 1966. A new bonded title will be needed. A bill of sale will be issued at the time of sale. No accidents, mostly original, very rare. Ready to go! You will be purchasing this vehicle as-is, no returns of any sort will be accepted.
