1970 GMC Pickup Brown

This is a very original pickup still wearing its original paint, never rusted anywhere. Very solid and tight. Steers handles and drives excellent.

1970 GMC 3/4 ton pickup. 350 th350, Dana 60 power steering, AM radio.
This truck came out of 40 years of indoor dry storage last year. Still titled in the second owners name issued in 1976. Original documentation included.
100% original paint, all GM sheet metal, never cut on, never rusted. This is the definition of a time capsule.
83,760 miles. Parked in 1985 with a bad transmission.
The following work was performed by myself and has 200 ish miles on everything. I don’t need to sell but would as it doesn’t get driven.
Truck was disassembled and cleaned throughout.
New correct copper brass 4 core radiator, new water pump and thermostat, all hoses new also.
New belts, GM mini starter, battery cables, MSD small cap distributor, coil, AC plugs, plug wires all new.
New correct fuel tank, sending unit, hoses etc.
Quadrajet sent to NY and professionally rebuilt by a guy that only does quadrajet restorations.
Transmission completely rebuilt by Big Sky Transmissions, new fan clutch, U joints serviced, rear end seviced, Full new aluminized dual exhaust from manifolds back. Turbo mufflers, All 4 brake drums are new, brake shoes, hardeware and wheel cylinders are all new. Master cylinder is new. Truck was converted to correct 1970 style power brake booster setup.
Front and rear brake hoses are new, 4 new shocks, new wheel bearings, seals, and rear seals are new.
4 new BF Goodrich All terrain KO3’s, truck still had split rims on it, now has 1973 and newer one piece 16” wheels. Powdercoated crystal white, 4 NOS hub caps, still wearing stickers on inside. Front bumper is also NOS GM with sticker still in place.
New windshield and seal, new correct style turn signal canceling switch. Comfort grip steering wheel, lots of other smaller parts changed also.
Engine runs beautiful, no smoke, no rattles, no leaks.
This is not a Taiwan bright and shiny restoration. It’s an all original truck, even the seat has not been redone. That being said, it’s 55 years old, has dings and scratches, etc.
Heat and defrost work, all lights, turn signals work, horn, wipers etc.
Radio either does not work or the speaker went bad. It would be nice to find an original paint tailgate the same color as the one on it. The original is banged up a bit.
