Vehicle Description

1972 GMC 2500 4x4. Drive it as it is, or restore it and have a really unique classic.
This is a great opportunity to own a vintage GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 . Highly sought after truck that is both rare, and easy to restore as there are many great aftermarket parts for it.
The bones of the truck are all there. Much of the sheet metal is in decent shape, though it does have its share of rust. It has a new bed floor and rails (value over $1000) that is in the bed but not fully installed. I was going to get new bed sides from LMC as they are not real expensive and i do not know how to fix sheet metal. The frame is all solid that has surface rust, but no holes or heavy scaling. The rockers/corners need some work as well. I would replace the drivers door and grill, but other panels are good or can be easily repaired.
The chevy 350 motor was recently rebuilt (according to previous owner). It starts right up and runs great. The automatic transmission runs exactly as expected and shifts thorough all gears perfectly. Four wheel drive engages and disengages well. I have driven it many times over the past month, and it is a good runner.
The interior is in pretty good shape. Seat has a new cover, but it is not all that pretty. Heater control is broken, but have another one to install. All windows and door mechanisms work. Radio is blah. Floor pans are patched but solid. Dash is straight, but needs a new dash pad
Please review all pictures and ask any questions. If you are looking for a perfect truck, there are plenty out there for $25,000 - $40,000. This one needs work, but is a solid base from which to start. If you are just looking for a fun truck to drive around without restoring, it does that today.
The truck does come with a plow. Used it to plow my driveway. Plow mechanism works well.
I have a few boxes of extra parts (heater control, door handles, window mechanisms, etc.)
I purchased it to restore, but just have too many things on my plate.
Write me if you have any questions.
