Vehicle Description

The 1983 Ford Mustang convertible is a classic car with a bold red exterior and sleek black interior. This retro ride features a manual transmission, 8 cylinders, and a 5.0L 302 4V V8 HO engine for a smooth and powerful drive. With safety features like back seat safety belts, this vintage Mustang also comes equipped with modern conveniences like AM/FM stereo (Alpine), very cold air conditioning, and cruise control. Made in the United States, this clean title vehicle is a must-have for any Ford enthusiast or classic car collector.
This was my father-in-laws car. He passed recently so selling for the family. This was his pride and joy and it shows. Although he was not the original owner, the vehicle comes with the original build sheet (see pics). The GLX Mustangs came standard with the 3.8L 6 cylinder, but this was one of few convertible V8 5-speed manual cars offered.
The car was built in Dearborn, MI in April 1983 for Dave Sinclair Ford Dealer in St. Louis MO and is currently located in a suburb of St. Louis. The car does have aftermarket headlights (still the iconic "4-eyed" configuration and custom wheels, the top is new as well as all window and door rubber has been replaced. The stock head unit has been replaced with an Alpine stereo with CD player. Everything else is original and in great working shape. The A/C blows very cold, engine bay is clean, interior is in fantastic shape.
The car is a must see and sounds great!
