Up for sale, my customized San Jose, California assembled1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner.I pulled this car out of a Roswell, New Mexico junkyard in 2010. It had been a one-owner car and parked in the yard in 1972. I am the second owner. No expense was spared to perform a frame off restoration between 2010 and 2019 resulting in a fabulous one-of-a-kind ride. The 352 V8 received a full engine rebuild and has been driven less than 5000 miles since the rebuild. A new Factory spec wire harness was supplied by Narragansett Reproductions.The body was removed from the chassis in order to perform a body/chassischemical immersion by Redi-Strip (photos included in listing) in Roselle Park, IL. The Ford has been customized: lowered three inches using lowering springs. Full interior replacement: SMS 1962 Ford Galaxie seats and door panels, carpeting and headliner. The Ford dash was replaced with a Meteor Montcalm dash. The car has been customized with Ford OEM parts. Front grille and rear end treatment via a 1960 Meteor Montcalm and 1960 Edsel bumpers front and rear. The car has been dechromed and all bumpers, grille and rear stainless were rechromed by Finishing Touch in Chicago. Recent repairs include replacement of a water pump, brake master cylinder and battery. I drive this car with confidence in good weather and show it regularly at local classic car events. I have driven the car on trips well over 250 miles without hesitation. Tires are in great condition, Firestone Bias Ply with a 2 1/4 whitewall. It has been stored in a heated garage since purchased in 2010. Overall condition is “Very Good” to “Excellent” being a 65 year-old car it's not perfect and since the full restoration, there are a couple of scratches or blemishes. No rips or tears in the fabric.
