1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback 390 4-barrel 76k miles GORGEOUS!

Vehicle Description
1968 Ford Galaxie 500 FASTBACK390ci, 4-barrelI bought this car 5 years ago from the original Virginia owners through consignment and have been in love ever since. I am, however, needing to get out of the classic car collecting as I cannot do the work myself any longer. This car is about as original as you can get. Repaint done a decade or so ago looks fantastic with just a few blemishes here and there. No rust I have ever found, the car is as straight as any you'll find. The engine IS turn-key. I had it in to a shop this winter and they tested all the chambers at 170 or better. New oil and transmission gaskets put on (though needing adjustment as there is a leak) and the tranny was gone through professionally. NEVER slips, shifts beautifully, and runs awesome. NEVER not started, idles well (and easy adjust for colder weather) and has been garaged for all its life with me.I have owned some 15 or so classics and I've never gotten looks like this one. It draws a crown anywhere it is driven and never ceases to make me smile. I hate to give her up, but I have to at this point.GOOD :390 - 315hp engine looks amazing and performs like a dream.Interior - has ZERO rips, headliner is immaculate, and nothing out of place.Transmission - has been gone through some 300mi ago and works fantastic.Paint is as you see - amazing. NO, not perfect, but it needs nothing from step one.All glass is good or better and the doors slide up and down easily.A/C works - has a small leak somewhere, but blows COLD when charged. (NOS item, not original to car)Tires - BRAND NEW, approx 800mi on them.Rims - Look brand new.Fuel gauge, wipers, warning lights, console lights, all exterior lights, and heater works.Radiator re-cored.NEEDS:The 2 pans the repair center fixed are still leaking. Could just need further adjustment. The place is over an hour away or I'd take it back for them to put right. I also cannot get under the car anymore as I have a muscular illness and it is just too much to do so or it might be put right as well.Radio doesn't work, spotlight is disconnected (for legal purposes - I was told it works if connected).Steering grommet is loose. Doesn't effect driving, but I like to be honest.I have driven this car over 100mi at a time and have never had an issue. I wouldn't personally drive a classic car too far just for the overall safety sake, but it has never failed me.$1000 deposit due within 5 days of purchase with the balance due before pickup. I can help get a delivery set up and am disabled, so I can be here anytime for pickup. CLEAR TITLE. I will not be leaving plate with car, so bring a temp tag if you plan to drive it away. Car is sold as is. I have tried to be as forthcoming as I can, but if you need more info or have further questions, please feel free to email me BEFORE BIDDING.
