Vehicle Description

1978 Ford F150 4x4 Long bedVery solid and clean classic ford 4x4. The odometer says 80,087 miles. Based on the condition of the truck, I think that is the original mileage. I cannot confirm that though. This truck runs great and has many new mechanical parts. All the details on the truck are below. I can help arrange shipping if needed. Feel free to ask questions. I can sell it on or off ebay.I DO NOT ACCEPT CARAMEL. I accept and prefer wire transfer. I use a local credit union and they know me there. I require full payment within 3 business days.MECHANICAL

This pickup has the 5.8L 351M V8. The transmission is the C-6 automatic. The engine runs excellent and has had some recent work done to it. The heads are newly rebuilt. It also has a new master cylinder, brake booster, fuel pump, alternator, plug wires, voltage regulator and ignition control module. The carburetor has low miles on a rebuild. The front superlift coil springs are new. I put those on to level it. The engine does not smoke at all, even when cold. There are no ticks or knocks. There are no leaks of any concern in my opinion, but it has the usual old truck seepage from a couple gaskets. There is no oil in the water, or water in the oil. The engine has very good oil pressure. The motor has no overheating issues. The transmission works fine with no slippage in any gears. The transfer case works fine. The 4x4 works fine and it has newer superlift hubs. I have driven it on the highway and it drives nice. The tires have a lot of tread on them, but I'm not sure of the date on them. The heater fan, lights and wipers work. This has dual exhaust with glasspacks, but it is not loud. The old vintage cassette player does not work lol. I know most people don't care about that. Overall, the truck needs no major mechanical work.

BODY

The body on the truck is in nice shape, especially for an un-restored 1978. There are a few dings, but nothing major. I took pics in the shade, and in the sun, to try my best to show the body thoroughly. It has rust spots on each side, right in front of the rear bumper. They are not that noticeable, and are pretty easy to repair and spot paint to match. That is the only exterior rust. The cab mounts have no rust. The trucks is very dry and solid. No frame rust. Frame rust is non-existent here. Montana still doesn't salt the roads for the most part. I have many undercarriage/underfloor pics I can send. The doors and hood open/close as they should. This has the optional locking hood. The windshield has one chip, and a scratch on the passenger side from the windshield wiper.

INTERIOR

This truck has the tilt steering wheel, which is nice for taller people. The interior is in good shape for an old pickup like this. The bench seat is the original, and has damage/wear on the drivers side. The interior is in good driver condition, but has flaws. The pics tell the story. Restoration parts for these trucks are inexpensive and readily available. There are no smells or anything like that. The radio doesn't work.

Feel free to ask questions. Thank you.

This classic is sold as-is. I can help arrange shipping and I will assist the trucker to load it.
