You are bidding on an original 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. This is an all steel Henry Ford coupe with the exception of the right rear fender is a fiberglass fender. This coupe is very structurally sound and has been well maintained. To our knowledge, this coupe was modified in various ways back in the early 1990’s. The exterior was painted yellow with hand laid pinstripes. The interior was also painted yellow to match the exterior. The car then received a Small Block Chevrolet engine (350) backed by a Turbo 350 Transmission. The driveline was completed with a 9 inch rearend and a parallel leaf setup in the rear. Braking is not an issue for this car as it has received a disc brake conversion in the front with drum brakes in the rear. Overall this is a very nice Deluxe Coupe. The car will need a little attention in the way of replacing bushings in various spots and possibly a ring job. It smokes a little at idle however once the car is warm and driven the smoke no longer occurs. The car runs and drives and has a clean title. The car also comes with some memorabilia and the magazine the it graced the cover of.
