[isdntekvideo] 1934 Ford Model 40 V8 Deluxe RoadsterListed on behalf of the owner.Located near PORTLAND, OREGONThe improved Ford V8 for 1934 featured a 221 cubic inch engine with an output of 85 horsepower. At the time, it truly created a sensation and combined with the now-legendary body stylings offered (in 13 different models), it brought luxury to the lower-priced market. Certainly, one of the rarest bodies was the 2-door Deluxe Roadster. Compared to other bodies that were produced in the hundreds of thousands by Ford in 1934, just 5,071 Deluxe Roadsters were made. Today, few survive (and many of those that do have been modified or hot-rodded.) This Roadster beat the odds and starting as a well-preserved example, was treated to an off-the-frame, fully stock restoration to show level, by a marque expert. The all-Henry Ford steel body is laser-straight with exceptional panel fit. Rust-free throughout. Finished in beautiful Ford Vineyard Green with a mirror shine, it is stunning from every angle. Accented by Straw Yellow pinstripes and wire wheels, wrapped by correct Firestone wide whitewall tires, this car is elegant yet sporty. All chrome and trim was re-plated and polished, showing beautifully today. Inside, the quality continues to shine with LeBaron-Bonney saddle brown leather upholstery in excellent condition throughout, along with wood grained dashboard, exclusive to the "Deluxe" models (along with the dual chromed horns.) Seat belts. Restored gauges and working Ford AM radio (no antenna installed.) Correct tan rubber floor mat up front. Rumble seat is beautifully and correctly finished. All glass is excellent. Glass wind wings with mirrors. Tan Haartz cloth convertible top operates easily and includes top boot and side curtains plus irons stored in a custom-sewn canvas pouch stored on the package shelf behind the seat. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS TAKEN FOR THIS LISTING SHOWING CURRENT CONDITION. Mechanically excellent. The rebuilt V8 engine with aluminum heads starts easily, runs smoothly with no smoke or unusual noises. Whisper-quiet at idle. On the road it accelerates quickly with excellent power at all speeds. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts crisply and the 4-wheel Ford mechanical brakes stop smooth and straight. Light handling. Truly a pleasure to drive. Battery shut-off switch and auxiliary 6 volt electric fuel pump. Just serviced with oil change and radiator flush/fill with correct Ford hoses. Ready to go.PLEASE SEE VIDEO TOUR WITH ENGINE STARTING, RUNNING AND TEST DRIVE. This is certainly one of the finest examples of a 1934 Ford Deluxe Roadster available today.WE HAPPILY SELL TO BUYERS WORLDWIDE AND CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING ANYWHERE.THANKS for looking and GOOD LUCK!If the video tour above is inactive, please go to: https://youtu.be/thqPumeVNNk?si=Su57AsGt0QuJbt8iPaymentWe gladly sell to buyers WORLDWIDE.
