1966 Ford Fairlane 500XL Hardtop

UPDATE: Put the matching rear rims back on and 4 brand new tires all around.

1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL hardtop. It’s a 289 V8 with the original 4 speed top loader manual trans. Motor has a noisy lifter from sitting too long. Poured some Lucas mystery oil in the crankcase and it sounds much better. Needs to run more. Just drove it from Escondido to Chula Vista and back with no issues (110 miles round trip.)

Paint and body are decent but not perfect. No rust or bubbling, just paint chips and a couple dings and a small dent on driver front fender. Good weekend car paint and body. Did have both rear quarter panels replaced. Has a Wilwood disc brake conversion with a power booster. Also has Flowmaster exhaust. Radio doesn’t work but is wired for an aftermarket.

Has the original Ford dog dish rims in the front. The hubcaps are in the trunk, forgot to put them back on for the pictures. Great weekend cruiser. I hate to sell but i have too many toys so time to downsize. Data tag and radiator support vin all match.

Currently registered, clean title in my name.
