1915 Ford Model T Chassis- Barn Find - All Original with Additional Parts

Vehicle Description

This auction is for a 1915 Ford Model T Chassis with a 100" wheel base. The engine has the cast date of 3-30-1915 and a 6 digit serial number 88371X (Hidden last digit for safety from scammers) indicating the vehicle was assembled sometime in September 1915. The engine is the correct 4 cylinder 3.75x4 bore producing a whopping 20 horse power. This is the perfect start to a ground-up restoration as all the original and correct parts are still on the chassis. This chassis was a barn find in the Sacramento valley on a farm when the owner passed in 2020. I sold a 1917 Model T, a Mercedes 500 SL, and a t-bird for the family and received this chassis as a thank you. I was planning on either making a period correct speedster out of it, or just add a ton of era accessories on to it and just leave it for display, but now I need the room for other projects, so this one needs to go.As shown in the photos, it has several of the expensive parts such as the correct coil box with lid, the correct aluminum hogs head, correct steering column, engine, brass oil filler cap, solid pawl brake handle, carburetor, tapered end leaf springs, and correct crank handle. What I have added is a couple of 1915 ribbed pedals to replace the worn and incorrect pedals in the transmission. I have also added the lower brackets for the windshield which are unique to 1915 if you wanted to put a windshield back on it. It does have an original aluminum hood with louvers only offered in 1915 but it is rough but savable. The wheel rims are all in very nice condition and are the correct sizes of 30x3.5 in the rear and 30x3 in the front. The rubber tyres can be used as rollers, but are not in any condition to be driven on. I do not think this chassis has ever been apart. The engine can be turned with the crank so it is not seized.What this chassis is missing is a radiator. (The 1915 Ford T radiator was a one year specific style because of the electrical wiring for the headlights went through a little tube that was attached at the bottom). It also does not have a body of any kind making it a blank canvas for your own speedster design.
