This is an original 1979 Ford F-250 Custom 4x4 "high boy". The truck has been in California since new and is 99% rust free. The only rust on the truck is a minor spot on both top corners of the cab (see pics) and the skid plate/fuel tank cover which is readily available and technically not a part of the body of the truck. The undercarriage, frame, cab corners doors, floors and everything else other than what was mentioned is completely rust free. The paint finish is 100% original and in amazing condition for it's age. There has never been any bodywork, paint work or rust repair, etc. The trucks body could not be more honest/original and completely untouched, impressive!!!!! There are of course various dings, dents (nothing major), scratches, fading, hazing, checking, peeling, etc. This truck gets a 10 for it's originality.The drivers side bed molding is missing, otherwise everything else looks complete. The truck was built in the San Jose California plant and has remained in Californiaever since.
The 390 c.i. engine starts right up and runs extremely well. There are no leaks, smoke, overheating or strange noises. The brakes, steering and suspension are all in proper working condition. Since the truck has not been a daily driver for some time we recommend that all systems be gone through. The truck accelerates properly and the transmission engages smoothly and on time into all gears. 4x4 engages properly. The truck has a Dana 60 High pinion front differential and a Dana 60 rear full floating axles. Newer shocks. The truck came with factory a/c although there is no compressor right now.

The interior is in fair-decent condition.Later model leather seats. There is no power to them but if they are wired up they should work. The dash has cracks and there is wear in various places on the interior (see pics).
This is a very attractive and solid old classic F250 4x4. Great for hunting or off road adventures, or restore to perfection due to the superb body and take it to the shows. Either way you cannot go wrong with this original California survivor.
