Vehicle Description

1971 Fiat 124 Spider, 2nd owner, Original CA car, purchased from the original owner. Car was purchased in San Diego CA and was garaged it's entire life in La Jolla CA. The original owner used this car so I am not trying to pass it off as a restored or super low mileage never driven 124. As you can see it's got some bumps and bruises but what it does not have is rotted out floors or trunk or wheel wells. It is a virtually rust free car that is 100% complete down to the tool kit and owners manual. The car runs and drives good, it actually operates as it should and everything works down to the original orange ignition light on the dashboard. In the past couple of years I have replaced the top, replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carburator, put on a new ignition coil and a rear tranny mount and replaced the brake fluid. I have done a couple of oil and filter changes but I have been using the car. The tires are older Michelin so it would probably be a good idea to put some fresher rubber on it but I'm not driving it cross country but I did recently take it on a roughly 130 mile round trip from Imperial Beach CA to Temecula and back without issue. The original owner saved all the receipts from day one including service/maintenance/ purchase paperwork from the dealer as well as he kept a journal of his fuel purchases itemized by date, mileage at time of fueling, amount of fuel added, etc. He was a helicopter pilot so I understand his madness. I have all the original items that I replaced as well as an additional new replacement top that the manufacturer sent me when I asked about sum scuffing on the rear window. Ask questions and I will try to add a couple more pics because I noticed A couple I posted are from when I just took possession and the cars has been outside (but covered) the last six months and I don't want to mislead anyone. I will need a $500 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of it's "buy it now" close or accepted offer if anyone decides to buy it and a cashiers check or cash for the balance at pick up. I can probably trailer it a short ways (100-125 miles) if that would be helpful to any prospective buyers or help in getting the car to a shipping provider depending on where it ends up. I don't really want to sell but space has become an issue and unfortunately it's not the only item I will be forced to part with so if you like old racing motorcycles keep checking my listings I'm sure one or two will appear. Thanks for looking and I am asking $5,200 on the Fiat.
