Vehicle Description

1958 Edsel project car. This car has already been started on the restoration but it looks like it has been a while back. First off this is SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE I HAVE NO TITLE FOR THE CAR BUT THE VIN TAG IS STILL PRESENT W8UC727453. that breaks down to a V8 engine E-400 361CID, 4 barrel 303 HP which is an impressive engine for 1958. According to the last owner the engine has been rebuilt and he let me hear it run and it sounds great, I havent started it only the last owner I would say you wont need the engine rebuilt it will work as is and the tranny is in the car but I never saw it drive. This is a Ranger 2 door Sedan and what I am most impressed about I have seen absolutely zero rust. The bottom of the car looks amazing and it looks like someone either media blasted the bottom of the car and frame or sanded it down and then painted it black because it looks really nice and some minor touch up and you can leave the car as it is. Also I have one picture of the bottom of the door and there is zero rust on the bottom of the door. The trunk has zero rust, all the panels have zero rust. I am a body guy and looked the car over pretty good and I wont promise you wont find any but for sure you wont find much. I cant believe how clean the sheet metal is for a 67 year old car. I wish every car I started on was this clean. It also looks like at one time they put on new shocks, and a lot of the parts on the suspension. It has been awhile back but most of it still looks nice and usable but I'm sure there are a few things that need replaced. I see new soft brown carpet in a box, I see an off white new headliner, the previous owner told me the radiator was new but it looks like its been sitting around for awhile and got bumped a few times. Also new door whiskers, I see the push button items that go in the center of the steering wheel. I dont have any seats those are missing, also I dont see a front bumper but I do see a rear bumper. Looks like most if not all the chrome and stainless is with the car, the grille and front headlight parts and all the tail lights and turn lights are with the car. All the glass is there and looks to be in good condition. I also see brand new wheel skirts if you want to install those. The tire tread looks like brand new but I'm sure they have been sitting around for many years so I dont know if they are good or not. The body has a few dings and dents and I am guessing that is from sitting around all these years but overall the body looks amazing and it wouldnt take much work to fix the small dents and sand it down and paint it. It looks like the guy bought double of a lot of the parts, I see two fan blades, two water pumps, and on and on. I know these cars arent worth a fortune that is why this would be the perfect project car because it is already running and will only need minor work if any on the engine, the bottom of the car and frame have already been painted so they will only need minor work if any, the suspension is nice so it will only need minor work. No body replacement panels and just minor work on the body in order to get it ready to paint. Plus the majority of these cars I see are 4 door and this one is the more desirable 2 door car and it has a heck of a cool engine in there. Feel free to give me a call if you want me to take a picture of something or look over something but dont call and ask any technical questions because I am a body guy and wouldnt know about the mechanical items other then what I can look at. Thanks Kevin Manley Kevin's Klassic Cars 612-275-8722 P.S. I dont know why it says it has the 292 engine but everything below the title is wrong this has what they call the E-400 engine 361CI 303 HP.
