Vehicle Description

1970 Dodge Dart 340 Swinger 4 speed Transmission and 3.91 gears

You are bidding on an original 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger with the original 340 cubic inch Motor, original 4 speed Transmission and 3.91 Posi-traction rear end, with original black bench seat interior. A little background information, my first brand new car in 1970 was a 340 Dodge Dart Swinger Sassy Grass Green see the pictures. My wife and I dated and had the car when we got married 51 years ago. We sold it to buy a family car but always missed this rocket on wheels.

About 10 years ago a buddy called me up and said he saw the exact 1970 Dart we had for sale. I called and looked at the fender tag and it was exact to my original Dart except it had been F8 Dark Green Poly and repainted to J6 Go Green/Sassy Grass Green a few years earlier so we bought the car.

We were told the car now had a built 360 motor and that the 340 had spun a bearing and was sitting in his garage and if we wanted it, we could have it. We jumped at the chance had the 340 professionally rebuilt and its dynode out at 360 horsepower and swapped out the 360 and put the 340 in. It took a while to find an original air cleaner but we did. We have put less than 1000 miles on since the engine was rebuilt. The odometer reads 82068 miles and I believe that to be correct.

I did pull the 3.91 gears out and put more street friendly gears in but no worries the 3.91’s are sitting on a shelf and go with the car.

This is a fantastic car and you will not be disappointed. You are welcome to inspect it by appointment. Please do not bid unless you plan to buy. Bids are a binding contract. You are welcome to come and look or have it inspected. A $1000 down payment is due within 48 hours of the close of the auction and the balance due in 7 days. Payment must be made by Cashier’s Check or Wire Transfer payable in U.S. Dollars the car will not be shipped until the funds are clear in my account. The Dart is sold as is no warranty is given or implied. All transportation costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.
