Vehicle Description

1980 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 5.9/360– last year with the removable top and fold forward rear bench seat. Two -tone grey and silver. I have owned it since Oct 2010 and it is a great and solid truck. 360 with a 4-barrel carb and dual exhaust. Runs strong and usually starts quickly. It was mostly a weekend truck driven for fun for the last 15 years. I don’t have to sell it, so I won’t just give it away. It rides like an old muscle car to me with 31-inch tires. 4x4 works great with locking hubs. New brake booster and brakes all around. This had just the lap belt when I bought it and I put a more modern seat belt in the front and modified 2 harnesses and one lap belt in the back for my kids. My kids loved riding around in this truck especially with the top off. Burgandy interior that is in fair condition. The seats have minor rips in them and the dash is in most good shape with some splitting on the glove box. I modified another console that I bought since the old RC ones are near useless. I still have the old one and it is really good shape and comes with it. The one in the truck has deeper cup holders and speakers in them. 360/5.9 is not the original and supposedly from a 74 Roadrunner. Runs strong. No catalytic converter. Odometer was disconnected when I got it and shows 57,859 miles. Fuel gauge doesn’t work, transmission pan leaks but hasn’t been a problem, trans is still strong. The heater core was bypassed so the heat won’t work unless you fix it. It has the factory air conditioner, but I think the compressor probably needs to be replaced. The tires will need to be replaced soon if you keep the 31s. I was going to convert to 33s if I kept it but I was also worried it would lose that muscle car feel to the way it rode. The truck was repainted before I got it 15 years ago but according to the previous owner never had any Bondo or rust treatment. I ran a magnet over before I bought it and seemed ok from what I could tell. Drivers side floorboard will eventually need replacement but the metal around it seems to still be in good shape. Passenger side floorboard may need a patch at some point, but I don’t think it will need a total replacement. Other than that, the only rust is minor mostly surface rust on the bed rail under the top. I always took the top off during the summer and kept it in the garage or under a pavilion when I did. For approximately 10 of the 15 years, I have had it was in the garage or under the pavilion. This truck has never seen salt roads to my knowledge. It was a Utah and Arizona truck and when I purchased it. I registered it in NY, but it spent very little time there as I moved to VA and didn’t drive it in bad weather in winter. It is just showing a little rust on the rocker panel on the driver’s side that you can see in the photo. That has only been showing for the last 6 months or so.The last 3 photos that are attached are from within the last 2 years, and the rest were all taken this week. I will try to get more photos of the undercarriage. Frame is in great shape. Overall, a great truck and would make a great restoration project or just drive it like it is. Cash in person or cashier's check for payment method only.
