1985 DODGE Pickup Long bed 318 Rust free Restored D150 D250 83,000 miles

This is my “covid truck” I bought this low milage truck without much of a plan other than I had always liked these as a kid. I brought it home and did nothing with it. Covid hit and I was sent home from work and wasn’t to return for what turned out to be almost two years. Needed something to do. This truck received a complete bare metal restoration because I couldn’t buy anything and had nothing else to build. Completely disassembled glass, doors, bed, front end, and all.

This is a D250 and as it sits and the only thing that is still D250 are the 8 lug hubs and bulletproof rear. Springs and suspension have been completely replaced with D150 parts. Every steering /suspension part has been replaced or restored. Front and rear are lowered 6” and 4” respectively. This is low and raked and has an awesome stance. Rust free frame stripped, and rust encapsulated. New driveshaft, u joints, e brake cables, rotors, calipers, bushings, tie rods, bearings, upper and lower control arms, springs, headers, fuel sending unit, fusible links, lowering kit, rad, hoses, mounts, water pump, shocks, door pins, roll pan, tailgate, carb, and more. Everything has been blasted or wire wheeled to bare metal and then either primed and painted or rust encapsulated …everything including suspension parts, driveshaft, brake parts, I mean everything!!!

The body was taken down to bare metal (inside and out), ppg epoxy primer coated, and covered in single stage B1 Mopar blue. There is not one bit of rust and the entire underneath has been rust encapsulated as well as the cab floors (top and bottom), inner wheel wells, under hood, firewall, and most suspension parts . Bed and rails are perfect and encapsulated as well. Body gaps door, fenders, hood, bed to cab are excellent. This truck is way over restored for its value. Paint is super glossy and slick and has been wet sanded and buffed. Paint and finish body work is not perfect but easily better than 80% of anything I see at a car show. No leaks from trans, motor, or rear.

Everything removed during rebuild and painted separately, bed, doors, hood, cab, fenders, glass etc. Front and rear glass is new and fully tinted as are the sides. This is a complete strip and color change inside cab, door jams, doors, engine compartment …everything.

Floor is rust free and dyno mated. All wiring tested for resistance and replaced if needed…soldered and shrink wrapped. New 17” wheels and tires, Toyo Proxes V rated radials and they fit the muscle part of this truck. Exhaust is incomplete but fully welded with 2 chamber mufflers, shorty headers and sounds great.

Interior is excellent and the covered seat has no tears. New seatbelts and JVC Bluetooth stereo with 4 new speakers. ALL new door, window, front and rear windshield rubber and window sweeps.

Most all bolts or nuts are new and I only use grade 8 hardware or stainless in all my builds.

Labor alone is 3x my asking price. The work on this truck is stupid but I needed something to keep me busy and this did the job.

I have driven less than 100 miles since restored and it gets wows everywhere I go.
