Vehicle Details

Up for auction is a very original 1964 Dodge 330 two-door sedan — a survivor that still retains its factory-installed 318 “Poly” V8 engine and original push-button automatic transmission.

The rear axle has been replaced with an 8¾" unit from a 1966 Coronet. The braking system has also been updated with a dual-reservoir master cylinder for added safety.

Originally sold in Shelbyville, Illinois. I've owned it for the past 35 years. All of the glass is original, with factory etchings still visible. The interior has been partially restored using NOS and quality reproduction materials, including an NOS driver’s seat back. The headliner is currently held together with safety pins and still in placebut should be replaced, and the carpet shows staining from an old master cylinder leak. This car originally had a vinyl floor mat, and moisture trapped underneath caused rust in the floor pans. They’ve been patched for now but will need proper metal work in the future.

After 60 years, the exterior shows its age with numerous dings, scratches, and areas where the paint has worn down to the primer or bare metal. There is some sheet metal damage on the passenger-side rear quarter panel between the passenger door and the rear wheel opening (see photos). The hood currently on the car is a replacement with a quick generic red hardware store coat of paint; the original hood is included but needs to be repaired. The current hood hood does not sit perfectly flush due to the hood springs. The passenger door and/or fender will need adjustment, as they make light contact when opening.

The torsion bar crossmember is solid aside from one section on the driver’s side that will require rust repair repair (see photos).

Mechanically, the car starts, runs, and drives well, with a slight hesitation off idle (possibly a sticking accelerator pump). It drives great, cruising down the highway. It’s equipped with a dual exhaust system and Flowmaster mufflers in excellent condition. The AM radio is inoperative, and the heater core is currently disconnected.

Overall, this is an original, unmolested Dodge with its original drivetrain and plenty of character. It wears its age honestly with a light patina — making it an excellent candidate for preservation, a light restoration, or simply enjoying as-is.

Sold as-is, where-is, with a clear title in my name.
