1928 Dodge Victory 6

Vehicle Description
Up for sale here we have an incredibly rare 1928 Dodge Victory Six Roadster in excellent condition. The year 1928 marked a new era for the Dodge Brothers as they discontinued their four cylinder engines and began to offer their new Victory Six and Standard Six options. The Victory Six, for sale here, was the more expensive of the two, full of prewar options you would find on luxury vehicles like a top of the line Chrysler or even a Packard and it also featured the all steel body by the Edward G. Budd Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia, which was known for producing very high quality steel bodies. In fact, the Dodge Brothers were the first major car manufacturer to offer an all steel bodied car with the help of Budd Manufacturing back in 1914. This is a very special roadster and a beautiful example finished in a two tone, Burgundy and Ivory Cream, the pictures in the listing were taken in the shade and also in the sun just to try to give you an idea about the beautiful color combination, also, features 6 matching Ivory colored wire wheels and Firestone Classic tires in excellent condition. This Dodge is packed with prewar features such as the dual side spares with mirrors secured by a leather strap, vintage chrome headlights and amber fog lights, dual cowl lamps, a foldable windshield for that speedster look and extra air feeling riding it on a nice Sunday. Beautiful high quality canvas convertible top in like new condition with a chrome framed window installed on a rear top section that can be totally removed / unzipped for an easier passenger interaction with those riding in the rumble seat compartment, chrome center caps on the wheels that read "DB" for "Dodge Brothers", polished aluminum step plates on the running boards and much more to be mentioned. The interior features a tan leather bench with matching side panels and a clean carpeting throughout - including super clean carpet in the rumble seat area, beautiful wooden 4 spoke steering wheel with a chrome steering column, shifter and handbrake, overall a very nice and well taken care of interior. This Dodge Brothers Roadster is powered by a 3.4L inline 6 Cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, runs and drives as it should, very nice and clean engine compartment, also has 4 corner hydraulic brakes for better stopping power. Having a 6 cylinder in 1928 was something special as major car manufacturers such as Ford and Chevy had not yet offered one on the market, this is another reason this roadster was expensive and rare!
