1951 dodge wayfarer sedan

Vehicle Description
This car was purchased new by my wife’s grandmother in Iowa in 1951. I have all the purchase documents. We inherited the car upon her death in 1973 with approximately 30K miles on the odometer. It sat in a barn until 1999 when we brought it to Reno. The car was frame-off restored. The engine was rebuilt, blueprinted and balanced. The entire drivetrain was refurbished. The suspension and brakes were rebuilt and with new stainless tubing for the brake and fuel lines. All new wiring was done with the correct stock color coded cotton covered wire. Nothing was left undone. The body had rust and all those areas were cut out and new steel welded in. There is no rust on the car. Many areas in the engine compartment are powder coated. Paint is the original color, and a clear coat added that was hand sanded and polished, making for a beautiful smooth finish. All chrome was replated and the stainless trim was polished and all dents removed. All glass was replaced except for the rear curved window with all new gaskets. The dash is the original color but the interior was completely redone with newer fabric much like the original in color. All gauges and instruments are original. Carpet was added. Wheels and hubcaps are original to the car but repainted/rechromed. Tires are original bias type with 4.25 inch whitewalls. The 230 cid, 103 hp flathead six with the original carb runs flawlessly and is mated to the original 3 speed column shift Fluid Drive transmission. The engine was converted to run on unleaded fuel. Brakes are excellent. The car has been converted to 12V but the battery appears as the original 6V. The only other change was in the interior cloth and carpet. Otherwise this car is very stock and now has 37.2K miles. My age and health conditions force this sale.
